1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Fightbase in any way, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify registered users by email before material changes take effect. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

2. Description of Service

Fightbase is a combat sports fighter database and event management platform operating in Malaysia. It allows fighters to maintain verified professional profiles, enables promoters to discover talent and manage fight cards, and gives gym owners tools to manage their rosters. The platform is focused on accuracy, verification, and transparency within the Malaysian combat sports ecosystem.

3. User Accounts

To use most features of Fightbase, you must create an account. By doing so, you agree to the following:

• Age requirement — you must be at least 18 years old to use Fightbase.
• One account per person — each individual may hold only one account. Creating multiple accounts is not permitted.
• Accurate information — the information you provide at registration and in your profile must be truthful and kept up to date.
• Account security — you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.

4. User Roles

Fightbase has several user roles — Fighter, Promoter, and Gym Owner — each with different privileges and responsibilities on the platform.

Role access beyond the default user account is granted through a verification and approval process. By applying for a role, you confirm that the information you submit is accurate and that you meet the requirements for that role. Misrepresenting yourself during the verification process may result in immediate account suspension.

Users with elevated roles take on greater responsibility for the accuracy of the information they submit to the platform. Promoters are responsible for the events they create. Gym owners are responsible for the accuracy of their gym's information.

5. Fighter Profiles

Fighters retain ownership of the personal data they submit to their profiles. Fightbase uses this data to maintain an accurate public record within the platform.

Fight records are not entered manually — they are calculated automatically from verified bout results submitted to the platform. A win is recorded when a fighter is confirmed as the winner of a bout. Losses, draws, and no-contests are recorded accordingly.

If you believe your record contains an error, you may submit a correction request. We will review it and respond within a reasonable timeframe. We do not alter records without supporting documentation.

6. Event Management

Promoters who create events on Fightbase are solely responsible for the accuracy of the event information they publish, including dates, venues, weight classes, and fighter matchups.

Fight results must be verified before they are recorded in the fighter database. Submitting false or fabricated results is a serious violation of these terms and will result in account suspension or permanent removal from the platform.

7. Prohibited Conduct

The following conduct is strictly prohibited on Fightbase:

• Fake profiles — creating a profile for a person who does not exist, or misrepresenting your own identity.
• Record manipulation — attempting to submit, alter, or influence fight records in a way that does not reflect actual bout outcomes.
• Impersonation — presenting yourself as another fighter, promoter, official, or Fightbase staff member.
• Scraping — automated extraction of data from the platform without express written permission.
• Harassment — using the platform to threaten, abuse, or harass any other user.
• Illegal activity — using Fightbase for any purpose that violates applicable Malaysian law or regulation.

Violations may result in content removal, account suspension, or permanent banning, depending on severity.

8. Intellectual Property

Fightbase owns the platform — its design, codebase, algorithms, and branding. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership of the platform or its components to you.

You retain ownership of the content you submit to Fightbase, including profile photos, biographical text, and any other original material. By submitting content, you grant Fightbase a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display, reproduce, and distribute that content within the platform and in promotional materials relating to Fightbase.

This licence ends when you delete the content or close your account, except where the content has already been incorporated into archived or historical records.

9. Limitation of Liability

Fightbase is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the platform will be available at all times, error-free, or that all fight records will be complete or current.

Fightbase is a database and coordination tool — it is not a regulatory or sanctioning body. We are not liable for any decisions made by promoters, gym owners, athletes, or other parties based on information displayed on the platform, including fighter records, rankings, or event listings.

To the extent permitted by Malaysian law, Fightbase's total liability to any user for any claim arising from use of the platform shall not exceed the amount paid by that user to Fightbase in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate any account that violates these terms, without prior notice in cases of serious or repeated violations. For less severe breaches, we will typically provide a warning before taking action.

You may request deletion of your account at any time by contacting us at legal@fightbase.co. Upon deletion, your personal data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Note that fight record data tied to public events may be retained in anonymised form for historical accuracy.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.
